Kipay’s Sombwe project offers Hybrid Energy Solutions to ensure a stable supply of electricity to local communities and our offtakes, entailing solar panel solutions and rehabilitation of mini hydro stations.  KIPAY intends to introduce local electrification programs to villages in the project area.

The SOMBWE HPP is dedicated to mitigating any protentional impacts the project will cause and will invests heavily in social and environmental programs to improve the lives of local people and to protect biodiversity.
