Pilot Farm – KIPAY FIELD

Together with the villagers of Kalera we are developing a model farm in the area between Kalera and Kiubo with the aims of piloting innovative, environmentally sustainable approaches to agriculture and providing training for farmers in how to improve their yields and to preserve biodiversity.

VISIONS

• We are establishing a seedbank to preserve local spices.
• Documenting and preserving local agricultural knowledge
• and promoting ecological farming.

Kipay’s collaboration with the inhabitants of Kalera continues apace. We will continue to support the village in improving its livelihood through business and private enterprise.
Kipay supports the people of Kalera in improving their standard of living, and they in turn provide Kipay with the vital local knowledge and co-operation that will ensure the success and sustainability of the hydropower project
